Manufactured in Switzerland

ZEILER AUDIO products are “Made in Switzerland”, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional quality and craftsmanship. All enclosures are machined from solid blocks of aluminium, then glass-bead-blasted and anodized with a highly resistive ceramic coating. The electro-mechanical components are custom-made to my specifications in Europe, Asia and the US. All of the electronic parts are manually selected to close tolerances, channel-matched and hand-soldered using cryogenically treated wiring. Naturally, utmost attention has also been paid to the power supply, ground wiring, shielding and layout.

Viewed in isolation, any of these measures will be subtle in effect. But in a system dealing with several octaves of bandwidth and complex timing behaviour, they are cumulative and, when implemented with care, deliver a breathtaking musical performance.

However, the first thing you will notice about ZEILER AUDIO is the timeless, minimalist aesthetic. I regard products as ideas transformed into matter; in this sense, form and material must reflect my values and aspirations. In Zurich-based FOND Design, I found the perfect partner for the task of embodying my ambition: to create a listening experience that engages all of the senses.

About
Ralf Zeiler

In 2018 I turned a lifelong passion into a profession and founded ZEILER AUDIO. I trained as an engineer and worked in IT while my passion, for over 40 years, has been designing and building audio electronics and loudspeakers.

As a boy, I was impressed by my father's reel-to-reel tape recorder, beefy-looking amplifiers and huge speakers. But on Sundays, in my grandmother’s kitchen, I would sit in front of her old SABA radio, a dark wooden box with yellowed cloth on the front. Music and voices sounded authentic, almost spooky. And something was glowing inside this box …

I quickly developed a passion for music and hi-fi, particularly for tubes and horn loudspeakers. Over the years I owned and tinkered with everything from transistors to tubes, from air-bearing tonearms to rim-drive turntables, from electrostatics to horn loudspeakers.

My tube journey began when I repaired a pair of Quad tube amplifiers, then Leak, Radford, McIntosh and others. I built my first amplifier on an ugly steel chassis that I made after attending a two-day welding course. The parts were harvested from old SABA tube radios. Since then I have designed and built numerous amps and speakers, aiming to create the ultimate listening experience.
